\"\"<\/a>The British Royal Standard flown by the office of the Lieutenant-Governor of Upper Canada from 1801-1813, until captured by American forces during the occupation of York (now Toronto), on April 27, 1813.<\/p>\n

The flag is at the United States Naval Academy<\/a> in Annapolis, Maryland. In April 2018, it was removed from its case for restoration.<\/p>\n

During the viewing ceremony, American, Canadian, and British naval officers formally spoke about the history of the flag and the conflict. The size of the thing – simply stunning!<\/p>\n
