Round Copse

The Round Copse to the west of the Bath House site is intriguing. It seems odd. It shows on HM Government surveys back to at least 1809. See the small set of images in the gallery below.


The name of the hill (“Great Hill”) on which the copse sits intrigues, too. This got me going to a English/Old English dictionary to discover what the meaning(s) might be: See Pdf here.
